Tennis and Education Are Catalysts for Children’s Success

Chattanooga NJTL in Chattanooga, Tennessee offers support for local children through educational and sports-related activities. We never forget to incorporate empathy, understanding, thoughtfulness, education, physical fitness, and the love for tennis in our development programs. We will do everything we can to help bring these children to success.

Our Organization’s Strong Tennis Foundation

NJTL was started by Arthur Robert Ashe Jr. He was a prominent tennis player around 50 years ago. Arthur won three Grand Slam singles titles, and he was the first black player selected for the United States Davis Cup team. He was also the only black man to have ever won singles titles at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. He retired from tennis in 1980.
